XLFC Launch New Football Team At Bisham Abbey!
A new fitness concept kicks off at Bisham Abbey next week as weight-loss football programme, XLFC launch their new team.
XLFC uses the camaraderie, team ethos and competitiveness of football to give its players a structured programme with the goal of losing weight. They provide training sessions, delivered by FA level 2 coaches and deliver fitness classes with a focus on injury prevention, core strength and mobility. XLFC is open to anybody over the age of 18 with a BMI of 27 and above and the concept has proved a hit with players so far.
Chris Broadhurst, co-founder and CEO of XLFC said: “This is all geared towards getting our players back into healthier habits, taking their health and fitness more seriously and using football as a tool to make that happen. Players will receive mental health support, discounted gym memberships, affiliations with local football teams and former professional footballers come in to give coaching sessions.
“This whole concept is very much about being part of a team in every sense. The camaraderie you get from being around people that are all doing the exact same thing is priceless and there’s no pressure to be the best, it’s just about getting better and that’s what we focus on.
“Add in the elite facilities here at Bisham Abbey and we’re really excited for what’s to come. This place has so much sporting history and that’s something that will hopefully inspire our players.”
